Your First Visit to Lindenwoods Chiropractic
On your first visit to Lindenwoods Chiropractic, you will complete some paperwork. You can either print out and complete the forms at home and bring them in or complete them at the office.
Your first visit also includes the following:
- A thorough health history. We will determine the main concerns that you have or we have about your history. We will also find out what kind of function you have.
- A digital posture analysis. This analysis will determine the exact areas of greatest stress on your spine.
- A spinal exam. This exam will help us find out exactly what areas of the spine have the most amount of pressure, using palpations and leg checks. Depending upon what we find we’ll take an X-ray to determine exactly how long the problem has been there and if it’s more of a muscle issue or a bone issue.
Once we have finished our very thorough exam, we will answer any questions you have and schedule you for your next visit where we will review our findings with you. Plan to allow 30-40 minutes for the first visit.
“I had an exceptional experience on my first visit. Dr. Pascal’s explanations were incredibly helpful, and the reception staff was awesome. I would rate my experience as excellent.” Inderjeet S.
When You Return
Your second visit should take between an hour and an hour and a half. We will review our findings report with you to explain what a normal X-ray looks like and what a bad X-ray looks like. The key thing is how that bad X-ray relates to you, how it affects the body’s function, and how we start changing and correcting your spine so your body can start to function normally again.
Whether you have back pain, headaches, digestive issues or hormone issues, we want to get to the cause of why your body isn’t functioning well in the first place. We then will show you your X-rays. “Our goal is for patients to be able to read their own X-rays,” says Dr. Dan. “For example, they might say, ‘Oh, this is the problem. That’s how long it’s been there. This is where the nerves go. That’s why I have headaches or hormone issues or breathing issues.’”
We will discuss with you the different options for care in terms of correcting your issues and getting your health back on track.
