Chiropractic Care

When you’re in pain you want to know that you’re going to get care in a compassionate and warm environment. At Lindenwoods Chiropractic, we do everything we can to help patients have a pleasant experience when they’re in our office.

Helping You Be at Your Best

During our typical daily life we encounter pressures and stresses, whether those are in the form of accidents, injuries or posture problems from sitting at a desk all day. Chiropractic can help us get back to our “normal” and help us to stay there.

It’s similar to brushing your teeth every day to maintain your dental health so that things don’t break down. We want to help people to stay at their best as long as possible.

Three Things to Help Get the Best Changes for Your Spine

#1 – Have your adjustments in rhythm. Schedule your appointments as close as possible and stick to the care plan we set out for you-whether it’s twice a week or three times a week to start with. The more regular you are in the rhythm of your visits, the more likely you are to see the best changes possible.

#2 – Change those bad habits & adopt better ones. If you keep going back to your same bad habits, regardless of whatever manner we work on changing your spine, it will want to revert to where it was before. It’s similar to our analogy about teeth. You can brush your teeth and visit your dentist for routine checkups, but if you keep sucking on lollipops all day you will likely experience significant decay.

#3 – Perform at-home corrective exercises and traction. As part of your care plan, we will provide you with specific postural stretching exercises, tailor-made for your specific needs as well as provide you with a Denneroll. This spinal orthotic device is used to help change and correct the spine. It works on the spine similarly to how braces work on the teeth. If you have too much curve on one side or not enough curve on one position, we use the Denneroll to enhance the adjustment and the changes in your posture to change and correct your spine.

Our Techniques

Because our goal is to help you feel better and stay better, we offer many techniques and services to help accomplish this goal.

Different types of adjustments are used depending on the patient:

Chiropractic BioPhysics®

Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP) is a technique that emphasizes optimal postural and spinal alignment, and how a bad spine affects the body. There’s research that Chiropractic BioPhysics has done about what a bad neck or a bad spine does to the body. The research also shows what happens when you start to change and correct the spine back to its normal curves and the effect that has on function. For Dr. Dan and Dr. Pascal, CBP is the clearest way to help a person get better.

By using CBP, we can help the spine regain its as-close-to-normal position as possible. And we do that with adjustments, stretches and exercises. We can help you change your posture and habits to enable things to stay in that position as long as possible.

ArthroStim® Adjusting Instrument

This handheld instrument applies a series of highly controlled “taps” to misaligned vertebral segments, so there is no twisting, turning or “cracking” of spinal joints.

We use the Arthrostim Adjusting Instrument as well as our hands. We usually start with a small adjustment to get the body to start to function and heal better.

Drop Table Technique

This method uses a unique drop table that has sections that can be raised about three-quarters of an inch and then “dropped” down with the weight of the patient and adjustment. This system maximizes the spine’s design of the joints to shift the spinal segment in the direction that will improve the motion.

Tracking Your Progress

Lindenwoods Chiropractic provides a pre-and-post measurement of how your progress is going. We want to help you feel better and monitor your progress so we can see how you’re doing. We’ll be able to tell you what you need, what you don’t need, and what you need more of. We have a start time, end time and maintenance time for your chiropractic care.

“I’m not guessing about what I think you need because you and I can both see where you’ve been and where you’ve come and exactly what you need moving forward,” says Dr. Dan.
